Australian Office Renovation

Walsh & Company’s North Sydney office was looking for a new long-term office space for their growing business. Fortuitously, the upcoming departure of an upstairs neighbor presented the team with the opportunity to lease space of the size required. Dixon Projects Australia was entrusted with the opportunity to oversee the subsequent renovation works to transform the newly vacant floor from a dim, cramped and monotonous space into something reflective of Walsh & Company’s long-term vision.

The result? A beautiful, flowing space that provides maximum efficiency and comfort for employees, as well as ample room to accommodate and impress a number of prestigious partners and visitors to the business.

The moment you emerge from the floor 14 elevator into a chic, sophisticated lobby, your eyes are immediately drawn to the unique feature wall: the Walsh & Company logo illuminated on walnut merbau paneling backed by lush, peek-a-boo greenery.
These same high-end timber paneling and fresh green accents flow throughout the entire floor, reminding all who enter that professional and personable can go hand-in-hand in the workplace.
Meanwhile, comfortable lounge spaces and stylish black-framed, glass-enclosed meeting rooms offer teams a quiet, private retreat away from the workplace buzz.
Given the high-level nature of work that occurs on this level, privacy and security are of the utmost important to the team. From the lobby, security passes provide keyless entry beyond automatic glass sliding doors to a bright open-plan office. Sit-and-stand desks allow staff easy communication and the flexibility to work in a way that is most comfortable to them.
The level of comfort and bright accents of the workspaces are also reflected in the team’s crown jewel: the expansive kitchen and dining area. Large windows overlook sweeping views of Sydney Harbor, a key feature of this generous communal space. Capitalizing on this breathtaking view, the Dixon Projects team arranged for large custom-made wooden benches to be built around the perimeter of these full-sized windows.
This seating is surrounded by more greenery, creating a calming and serene oasis away from the city outside and the bustling business within. Additional family-style wooden tables provide plenty of casual seating space, while also offering the expanding team a place to relax or gather for events and meetings.
Meanwhile, an additional lounge has been staked out in the corner for those wanting to catch the afternoon sun or a quiet moment to analyse the latest reporting figures. White marble floors, marble benchtops and stainless-steel appliances complete the space and add to its polished, sophisticated feel.
What was once the cramped and unadorned office space of a former business has now become the refined, comfortable and revitalizing home of Walsh & Company – a space that not only attracts the eye of visitors and stimulates the mind of all employees, but which is also reflective of the refreshing, innovative work culture prevalent within the business’s operations.
