White paints will look different depending on the amount of natural light and interior lighting within a home. Don’t be afraid to put a few swatches of your favorite white colors on a wall to visualize how they’ll look.
This is important as they may appear differently in your home than they did where you purchased them. For traditional homes, choose something with a warm tone or a hint of yellow – “White Dove” by Benjamin Moore is a favorite.
For a more modern home, choose a cooler tone or something with a litter more gray or blue like, “White Wisp.” When all else fails, “Decorator’s White” is a reliable choice. This paint goes with any color and isn’t too stark of a white tone.
